This was the first sculpture I made. It definetly evolved as I carved. The peice of wood was originally solid. After the holes were made, I realized that I had made an expression that comes from within oneself trying to speak the agony of hidden feelings. The flight of the bird was then added expressing the freedom one gets when releasing such emotions.
